Hello, I am away attending a conference in San Francisco. For today's class you should work on the assignment below, which is due on Tuesday 11/21. For this assignment you will be creating a video Public Service Announcement (PSA) for one of the major reform movements during the period of Antebellum Reform. Your PSA should promote concern for one of the specific Antebellum reform movements (for people alive at that time). You were assigned a specific reform movement in class on Wednesday. Follow the steps below to complete the assignment. 1. Do some research on PSAs. Go to youtube and watch some. What do the look like, sound like? How are they organized? Get a good feel for them. 2. Research your specific reform movement. Gather information about it. Use the resources below to get started. You may also use your textbook and any other source of reliable historical information. The sources may below, however, may provide you will all the info you need. Your PSA should include the following information (this is what you need to find in your research): A. Who led or played an important role in the movement? What did they do? What was their motivation to get involved? Your project also needs to include at least significant one quote from a leader of the movement. B. Describe/explain the societal problem(s) that your movement was attempting to address. C. What are the specific goals (changes in society) that the movement is attempting to achieve? D. When did movement occur? E. Where was it located (where is America)? 3.
