You will continue your research on the USAID sector that you chose last class (or you may choose a different one to focus on if you found that you weren't interested in your original choice). To record your research, create an electronic document, and copy and paste in the research topics below. Turn in your research document to backpack Assignment #10 when complete (due next class 12/6) 1. USAID Sector Research Today you will be working to learn more about one of the major foreign aid sectors administered by the US foreign assistance agency, USAID. Use this link to the USAID website to begin gathering your data. All questions below can be answered using the USAID website. No other outside research is required. Here are your research topics: 1. Identify the problem: What world problem is your sector attempting to solve? Be sure to include relevant statistics about the problem (at least 2-3). Explain why you think this is a particularly important issue for the US to help solve. 2. Outline the USAID solution: explain how USAID is attempting to address or fix the problem. Give specific examples , at least 3-4. 3. The results: describe any significant accomplishments that have resulted from the USAID programs designed to address your problem. Be sure to include relevant statistics as evidence (at least 2-3) 4. Case Study: describe in detail a specific example of a USAID program designed to address your problem.
