3. Let's start at the very beginning...Three Branches of Government - Hip Hughes video *Click here to open up the Note sheet to answer the questions below. Be sure to "Make a copy" and "add to your drive" so you can record your own answers. A. Explain "separation of powers" B. Explain "checks and balances" C. Most simply, what is the Constitution? D. Article 1 is about...? Why first? E. Article 2 is about...? What is the bully pulpit? F. Article 3 is about...? What is judicial review? 4. Assignment #7 - Your task is to gather facts about how our government works from the U.S. Constitution. For example, find out how someone becomes a member of Congress, what the requirements to be President are, or how long a Supreme Court justice serves. To start, examine the different articles of the Constitution on your own filling in the tables provided. Once you have completed your own work, visit your classmates to see what they have learned and record it on your document. You may only get two pieces of information from each classmate.
